Syfa Muezic releases new single ‘#Imready’

New York rap artist Syfa Muezic has released his latest and greatest single, titled, “#Imready.” The track is being released globally on the Hallo’faym Limited music label, and bears the dual copyright of Hallo’faym Limited and Infinite Enterprise. The track is the most significant and capital single to come from Syfa Muezic this year, and stands to prove that Muezic is one of the hip hop world’s most powerful up-and-coming artists today.

Upon being asked about the themes of his new single, “#Imready,” Syfa Muezic replies with characteristic straightforwardness. True authentic hip hop is my message. Bringing back that ‘Boom Bap.’”

For younger fans of the urban underground, ‘boom bap’ is a hip-hop term that refers to the basic, clean back beats that originally put rap music on the charts in the 1980s. It was popularized by the legendary, brilliant rapper and lyricist KRS-One, whose LP record “Return of the Boom Bap” revolutionized rap music in 1993.

Syfa Muezic himself shares many qualities with KRS-One. His best attributes are exemplified in this new track, “#Imready.” His lines and rhymes are carefully crafted, top-notch urban poetry. His beats are slick, basic, and made of rock-solid rhythm in the tradition of the old 808s and 909s. This should not be surprising because Syfa Muezic comes from the very heart and home of hip hop everywhere, the NYC borough known as the Bronx.

In response to questions about his main artistic influences, Muezic again keeps his answer simple and honest.

“The Golden Era of Hip Hop,” he writes in capital letters. “And the Streets (worldwide).”

Having teamed up with his longtime friend Jushun Shimshon, CEO of Hallo’faym Limited, the music listening public is certain to get much more from Syfa Muezic in the near future. Syfa Muezic is also CEO of Infinite Enterprise.

The Price Is Rice releases new single ‘Different Back Then’

The rock trio known as The Price Is Rice has released their newest rock single, “Different Back Then.” Their new song has been released on the Acoustic Revolution Records music label. “Different Back Then” is the most significant and anxiously awaited music from The Price Is rice since their patriotic 2012 single, “With Eagles Might.” This new song is packed with the same groove, class, and fun that the public has come to expect from the ‘Rice crew, but with an added emphasis on the current state of music that brings glad memories of the way rock ‘n’ roll used to be into focus.

Singer-songwriter Daimon Price writes of these themes, “’Different Back Then’ is my homage to growing up in the 80’s when music was about great song writing and simply feeling good.”

For music fans who may be uninitiated in the era, music in the 1980s was often characterized by upbeat, danceable songs with well written lyrics about youthful, carefree topics. With synthetic instrumentation still in its rudimentary stages, players needed stunning expertise to garner a large following. Guitarists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Eddie Van Halen raised the bar to nearly impossible heights, while drummers like Neil Peart and Phil Collins kept time like atomic clocks. Though exceptions to these rules certainly existed during the neon decade, poorly written, poorly performed songs very rarely appeared on the radio. Regardless of one’s personal taste, there was something undeniably catchy and fantastic about nearly every song on nearly every station.

“I wanted to capture the excitement of those long drives where you you couldn’t wait to hear what was next on the FM station!” Price writes excitedly. “Being a huge fan of iconic musicians like The Cure, John Mellencamp, and Tears for Fears, I wanted to write a musical ‘thank you’ to them and to all the artists who gave us their heart and soul in a decade that gave me memories I will always cherish.”

Speaking from the year 2013, while college students are doing their best to look like actors in John Hughes films and high school kids are forming synth-pop bands to sound as close to Erasure as possible, Daimon Price’s opinion in “Different Back Then” is clearly a popular one.

“Let’s face it,” he writes candidly, “the music scene today is just garbage, man… It was really different back then!”

“Different Back Then” by The Price Is Rice is an excellent introduction to one of today’s most excellent and fun rock groups. It is available online worldwide early summer, 2013.

The Naddiks release new LP ‘Amber Sun’

Australian alternative punk rock trio The Naddiks have released their new flagship LP, “Amber Sun.” The record is comprised of 11 original tracks for a total playing time of approximately 45 minutes. A raw, heavy-hitting set of instant Naddiks classics, “Amber Sun” is effective medicine for audiophiles who have become tired of overproduced music industry schlock, and a perfect introduction to one of the modern day’s most unrepentant rock groups.

The Naddiks are Kurt Schiffer on bass, Joel Steenbergen on guitar and vocals, and Nick Steenbergen on percussion. Their mix of musical backgrounds, which is steeped in grunge rock, proto-punk rock, and more, and which spans a range of performance expertise, gives The Naddiks an earnest, creative edge that cannot ever be faked, and which most artists would never attempt to emulate.

They name as main artistic influences rockers who have floated both in the gutters of public opinion and on the clouds of critical acclaim, artists such as The Vines, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, AC/DC, and Iggy Pop. They have also many of the best attributes of legendary bands like The Germs, Angry Samoans, and The Sex Pistols.

Speaking of the style and production of their new record, “Amber Sun,” Naddiks manager Richard Schiffer writes, “The album is new- and old-school with influences from past and present greats, using both new and old technology to create an experience in sound.”

This unlikely sonic experience, although extremely unique and hard to categorize in the music world today, can be described using appropriately strong adjectives. Naddiks music is intelligent, creative, and comes from non-negotiable artistic principles. It is also often brutal by nature, occasionally nihilistic, and can sound gorgeously brooding. Their album’s sonorous and deceptively simple closing ballad, “Still I’m Sad,” is almost certainly one of the best rock songs of 2013 so far.

“Amber Sun” by The Naddiks is available online worldwide beginning early summer, 2013.

UK singer Siiren releases new single ‘Skank It’

The new pop singer from the United Kingdom known as Siiren has released her capital new single, “Skank It” to resounding critical and fan applause. The single has been released with a sexy and vibrant official video that has had hip hop fans talking since its release in late spring of this year both in Europe and the United States. It features the stylish moves and inviting charisma of Siiren herself, as well as the beats, melodies and lines of her high-impact, wonderfully danceable new single. The combination of these excellently showcases both her fantastic songwriting and remarkable performance talents.

Siiren may be a new name for many audiophiles, but the fun-loving dancer and chanteuse is hardly new to the scene.

She writes of her music career, “Music started for me at 14 years old when I discovered by picking up a pen that I had fallen in love with songwriting.

She cites as main artistic influences the likes of Jessie J, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Madonna, and Lady GaGa. Her own music reflects lessons learned from all of them. In addition to the best qualities of these, “Skank It” is also reminiscent of work by singers such as Cher, Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson, the latter of whom Siiren even resembles in a modern way.

“I grew up with much of the ’80s pop sound,” she writes, “which had a great influence on my musical development.”

It should come as no surprise, therefore, that her devil-may-care attitude is also not unlike that of her favorite singers. She comments, “I of course naturally gravitate to that kind of sound which is super-carefree and amazingly has this deep, feel-good factor. It’s something that you never ever forget once it’s into your veins.”
Siiren’s single, “Skank It,” revolves around themes of self-expression.

“It could be through dance, the way you dress, or by the way you move or talk,” Siiren says. “You can be anything you want to be but most importantly be yourself, and enjoy who are. Feel liberated.”

“Skank It” by Siiren is available online worldwide beginning early summer, 2013.

Michael Maverick releases new EP record ‘DyNasty City the EP’

The artist of rap music known as Michael Maverick has released his newest EP record, titled “DyNasty City the EP.” The EP is Maverick’s most significant and highly awaited release since his LP album, “Set It Off.” “DyNasty City the EP” is comprised of five new and original tracks from Maverick that continue to prove his prowess at the mic, as well as his skills in composing beats and melodies for a polished and heavy-hitting hip-hop record. Each of these new tracks, “All I Do (Is Work),” “Take It to the Top,” “Levantate (Get Up),” “So Different,” and the outro, “Never Alive,” are singles in their own right, and have been made available by the artist from his own website as well as from other online outlets worldwide.

Having mastered several instruments in his youth and later being exposed to West Coast rap and Latin music, Michael Maverick now cites as main influences the likes of legends such as Tupac Shakur, DMX, 50 Cent, Big Pun, The Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube, Big L, Wu Tang Clan, Pitbull, Dr. Dre, and Jay Z. Maverick’s own sound reverberates with the best attributes of all these artists, but has strong Chicano overtones tempered with a San Diego / Los Angeles style.

Maverick’s San Diego edge is no coincidence. In fact, the name of his new EP is a play on a street slander for National City, a greater San Diego area in which Maverick was raised, and which is sometimes called Nasty City or De Nasty City – therefore, “DyNasty City the EP” is a fitting title. His own moniker, “Maverick,” denotes his knack for doing his thinking apart from the crowd.

Regarding the themes of his well penned rhymes and lines, Maverick writes, “My overall message is that with every painful situation, whether it be from your environment or something that someone has done to you, it comes with a lesson, and it is those very lessons that lead us into the path of success. Your higher calling, if you will. ‘Struggle and strength’ is ’cause and effect.’”

Rapper Ecady releases new LP album ‘Clockwork’

The rap artist known as Ecady has released his latest LP record album “Clockwork” to broad critical and fan acclaim. The record is the most capital and significant full-length release from this up-and-coming poet of the streets to date, and includes several of his best known singles. Among the LP’s excellent selections are “Shorty Put It Down,” “Beautiful Body,” “I’m Number One,” “Been Drinking,” and many more. These singles come in addition to the record’s title track, “Clockwork.” An official music video has been concurrently released for “Clockwork” also, which has enjoyed remarkable online popularity and success.

An artist of tact, class, and intelligence from New York, Ecady uses a mix of skill and good taste to deliver his rhymes in a fashion that is all his own. When asked to list a few main artistic influences, Ecady politely declines, writing only, “I look into myself to create better music.”

His style on “Clockwork” results from a myriad of different tones, over which he deals with a variety of themes and narratives

“I have all type of songs on this album,” Ecady comments candidly. “[Their topics range] from positive messages to fun, club, or real-life struggle music, combined together to form a sort of positive and good vibe message for the listeners.”

In this effort Ecady’s “Clockwork” is well named. The album is upbeat yet not flippant, serious, yet not dramatic, and simply downright fun, even in its most mature moments. This is all the more impressive when the music fan considers that the record is essentially the product of one man’s artistic clout. Ecady pens all his own lyrics, composes all his own beats, arranges all his instrumentation, performs all his music in his own home recording studio, as well as recording, engineering, producing, and mixing the material down without any help except professional mastering.

Seemingly a jack of all trades, Ecady is also the head of his own record label, at which position he creates custom beats for other artists to use.

A remarkable album from every angle, “Clockwork” by Ecady is available online worldwide beginning early summer, 2013.

Bard releases debut LP record ‘No Sleep for the Lonely’

The Hollywood folk-pop band known as Bard has released their long-awaited debut LP album, “No Sleep for the Lonely.” The record is comprised of 12 new, original tracks for a total playing time of approximately 40 minutes. With a nod to Bard’s long-standing and loyal fan base, it includes all of the singles previously released on their 2011 “No SleEP” EP record. It is the most capital studio album from Bard to date, and stands to prove their clout to the modern music world once and for all.

Bard’s youth belies their maturity in terms of both musical expertise and songwriting. Perhaps best described as a folk-pop ensemble, their sound has elements of rock, pop, and bluegrass. The result is a fine example of the still-rising popularity of indie folk and “newgrass” music, as well as the recent resurgence of the early-90s, clean-channel, alternative-pop sound. Bard cites as main artistic influences Our Lady Peace, David Ford, Third Eye Blind, Incubus, and Avenged Sevenfold. In addition, their unique tone on “No Sleep for the Lonely” has much in common with acts such as Third Eye Blind, The Goo Goo Dolls, and Gin Blossoms.

Bard was founded in Mio, Michigan, by songwriters Lucas Christenson and Steven Crandall. Their decision to relocate to Hollywood was a leap of faith following the burning of their trailer on the road in 2009, in which their clothing, instruments, and all else perished irreparably. Having come to Los Angeles to pursue their music career, they are joined by Alfred Jasso, Andy Olson and Jesus Orosco.

Their music was featured on ABC’s program “No Ordinary Family” in 2011.

They write of their new record, “When we write our music it comes from the heart. We want to reach out and touch people with our music and help them throughout their journey. We don’t believe in just writing catchy tunes with no meaning behind them. We hope to bring meaning back to the music industry by empathizing with our listeners and their struggles.”

Taurus Damond releases new EP ‘Late Audition’

The artist known as Taurus Damond has released his latest EP record, titled, “Late Audition.” It is comprised of six original tracks for a total running time of approximately twenty minutes. A sleek, cool hip-hop album with clever lines and rhymes, solid back beats and a genial attitude, “Late Audition” serves as an excellent introduction to this up-and-coming artist.

Damond cites as main artistic influences a surprising variety of musical legends, such as Kanye West, The Beatles, Jay-Z, Electric Light Orchestra, Common, and DMX, but grew up in Texas with a wide exposure to blues and soul. He has since relocated to the music hotbed of Hollywood, CA, where he has found a place in the entertainment industry.

“I got into music at a very young age,” writes Damond, himself. “Being around other artists, I wanted to start writing music and share my message to the world.”

Damond’s music is more than mere entertainment, however. His themes are empowering and uplifting. His personal experiences and perspectives allow for an upbeat, intelligent point of view that sees life as an open door, however difficult it may at first appear.

He writes of this, “My music shares a positive, inspirational view to the world through the eyes of my life. I want people to realize through hard work and dedication your talent will take you so far in life. And no matter how many times you fall down, you have to get back up and keep fighting.”

Fighting is something Damond knows intimately. His career as a cavalry scout took him on two tours of duty in Iraq from 2006 to 2010, where he earned his Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air-Assault Badge, and a bevy of others. He has been working towards musical victory since 2007 when he began writing songs, and released his first mixtape in 2010.

Kill Bill G releases new LP ‘Redux’

The artists known as Kill Bill G have released their latest full-length record album, titled, “Redux,” to widespread critical and fan acclaim. The Spanish duo have packed their latest synthpop record with instant classics that are sure to attract new fans and likewise appease the clamoring of their eager worldwide following. Their most capital and comprehensive album since the wildly popular “Tunguska,” “Redux” is everything the world has come to love about these remarkable musicians and much more. It has been released on the Noise Records music label.

The sound of “Redux” is reminiscent of 80s synth bands like Soft Cell and Human League, but has also a digital edge not unlike early albums by Kraftwerk. With epic, looming overtones and chord progressions that invoke an air of suspense, Kill Bill G have not forsaken their usual themes on this latest album. “Redux” continues their endlessly fun tradition of writing music for the mystery and science fiction buff.

Kill Bill G writes of this, “Our music is about our favorite mythos, like H.P. Lovecraft, cosmic horror, sci-fi and horror movies, as well as series like ‘The Thing,’ ‘Alien,’ ‘Fringe,’ ‘The X-Files,’ and ‘Lexx…’ Some of their tracks have for inspiration the intrigue of what they call “femme fatale tales.” Those songs, they say, revolve around a noir world of crime and lust. Their sound dwells in this space for a bit before returning to their usual motifs of horror, outer space, and horror from outer space.

KBG cites as main artistic influences artists such as Gary Numan, OMD, China Crisis, and Front 242.

Kill Bill G started composing music in 2005 and self-published their first record, “Zero”, in 2006. The album met with great success, and was followed by the even better loved “Tunguska.” In addition to their three full length LPs, KBG has released an armada of singles and EPs which can be found online. They are often featured on iTunes’ Top 40 and Top 20 Spanish charts. A compilation record slated for release in September of this year titled “Singles 05-13” will contain the singles from their three major releases.

Paradox Please releases new record ‘State of Emergency EP’

Pittsburgh rock trio Paradox Please has released their new flagship extended-play record, “State of Emergency EP.” The album is comprised of four original tracks for a total playing time of approximately 16 minutes. A pounding, driving, powerhouse little record from these quickly rising titans of alt rock, the “State of Emergency EP” serves as an excellent introduction to the unique, East-Coast sound and style of Paradox Please.

Paradox Please cites as main artistic influences the likes of Muse, Silversun Pickups, Queens of the Stone Age, and Rage Against the Machine, attributes of which artists appear variously in Paradox’s own sound. Their “State of Emergency EP” has complex, wall-of-sound fullness that is extremely unusual for a three-piece band. Their tone is full of passion and adrenaline, and heavy on percussion (very heavy). Their song structures are gilt with harmonic, soaring guitar work and prominent, active bass lines. Fans of bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse will be well pleased with this early set, and particularly if the listener is fortunate enough to attend one of their infamous live performances.

Speaking of how they arrived at their style of alt rock, Paradox writes, “We really wanted to make something new sounding and fresh.” Their early material succeeds by utilizing intelligent lyrics on top of fast-paced, widely varied chord progressions. Their attitude towards innovation extends into the themes explored in their songs, too. “There are a lot of messages shared in our music,” they write of this, “the primary message being to find your own personal truths in the world and realize your full potential.”

Paradox Please is guitarist/vocalist James Beswick, bassist Brittany Glitsch, and drummer Chad Leonberg. They are winners in the Best Alternative Rock Band and Best Alternative Rock Music Video categories at the Pittsburgh Rock Music Awards for their single and video, “Singularity.”

Their “State of Emergency EP” is available online worldwide summer, 2013.
