Country star Rhea Francani releases new LP ‘Now or Never’

The singer and songwriter of country music known as Rhea Francani has released her debut full-length album, “Now or Never.” The track has been proudly published on the Limestone Records LLC independent music label. It contains 12 original songs for an approximate listening time of 45 minutes. These include her hit singles, “Dizzy” and “Shotgun Baby,” which have won her country and pop music listeners all over North America. Populated with catchy hooks, danceable rhythms and the genuine, warm singing for which fans have come to love her, “Now or Never” showcases Rhea Francani as the most important new country artist of 2016.

Rhea Francani cites as artistic influences Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Lady Antebellum, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Michael Jackson. The overarching character present in her “Now or Never” record is her own, however. This is partially due to sonic roots which stretch far into her past.

“I started singing when I was really young,” notes Francani. “Being around my family inspired me a lot with music.”

The familial aspect of Francani’s “Now or Never” debut is such that two of its 12 tracks are written by her sister, Adria. It’s an album of much emotional and tonal scope, with traditional rock-tinged country songs like “Runaway,” harder tracks like “Whatcha Gonna Say,” delicate ballads like “I Want You to Know,” and songs of great intensity like “Is this Love.” It’s a highly personal record, one in which Francani wears her heart on her sleeve.

“My debut shares honest experiences with listeners I think they are familiar with,” Francani writes. “It’s filled with lyrics about life and love. Both can be beautiful and fleeting at the same time and I believe the songs off the album portray the beautiful experiences, as well as the challenges that come throughout the journey of life.”

Pressed to describe “Now or Never”’s overall theme, she writes:

“Take in every moment and live in the now.”

Francani’s first single, “Dizzy,” has reached #11 on the global HotDisc chart and is in rotation on All Access Nashville radio services. Raised in New York but living now in Nashville, TN, her debut EP, “I Want You to Know,” was the anthem of a city girl with a country spirit.

“Although I am from New York,” she writes, “I am drawn to the southern charm of country music’s heartfelt lyrics – songs about love, life, and good times. I bring a bit of the city to the country.”

Previous to her career as a singer-songwriter, Rhea Francani performed jazz and theater, and nurtured her future career as a musician by listening to Motown soul.

“Now or Never” by Rhea Francani is available at over 700 digital music stores online worldwide beginning 19 July 2016. Get in early, country fans.

Country singer Curtis Lee Putman releases new single ‘#TallInTheSaddle’

The singer and songwriter of country music known as Curtis Lee Putman has released his latest official single, “#TallInTheSaddle (When I Ride).” The track has been proudly published by CLP Music Productions and Tallinthesaddlerecords independent music labels, outside the control of the corporate music industry. An instant country classic in the making with smooth natural baritone vocals and gritty storytelling, “#TallInTheSaddle” is evidence that the American country music tradition is alive and well in artists like Curtis Lee Putman.

Curtis Lee Putman, who is sometimes billed simply as CLP, cites as main artistic influences Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Kiss, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Cash, and Jimmie Rodgers. His own music blends modern country cues with classic kick-drum, fiddle, guitar, and a blues influence. This unpretentious manner in which Putman sings extends also into the themes of his lyrics. Asked whether he writes his own songs, CLP remarks that the songs are written “by my experiences in life … My truth, you might say.”

A born musician, Curtis Lee Putman has been making music since childhood.

“Music has been my indulgence, my escape, and a passion of mine for my entire life,” he writes.

Curtis Lee Putman was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI, home of the world-famous Gibson Guitar Company and a hotbed for American music since the early 20th century. Putman found his musical calling in country music and in the blues. His music often crosses boundaries, however, and his songs can be found cataloged variously as country, alternative country, country/blues, and occasionally just alternative.

“I just play music,” Putman replies, “the good kind, the universal language of everyone. Because really, we’re all saying the same thing.”

Asked to describe the major themes of his “#TallInTheSaddle” single, Putman says:

“When the fight gets the hardest and you’re not sure if you can make it to the end, that’s when to rally all the strength you have because it’s almost over.”

“#TallInTheSaddle (When I Ride)” arrives hot on the heels of “It’s Over,” Curtis Lee Putman’s other popular single published on the same record label. Remastered versions of other past favorites including “One More Dance” and “Curtis Lee’s Blues” are set to release later this summer.

Curtis Lee Putman’s music is in radio circulation and he has been interviewed on Jango, iHeart Radio, and, syndicated on the Radio365 network, nationwide on FM and Internet radio.

“#TallInTheSaddle (When I Ride)” by Curtis Lee Putman available online worldwide 23 June 2016.

The video and single appeared in January 2015.

In addition to the considerable talents of Rhea Francani, herself, “Shotgun Baby” includes the skills of top Nashville session musicians directed by Wanda Vick, Michael Walter at OmniSound Studios (producer, engineer), Grammy Award Winner Richard Dodd (mastering), and Jeff Johnson (cover photography, Carrie Underwood, Billy Currington et al).

Popular country/gospel musician Corey Farlow releases tribute to veterans ‘The Gift of Freedom’

The popular singer and songwriter of gospel and country music known as Corey Farlow has released his latest country single, “The Gift of Freedom.” The track has been published as an independent release and pays tribute and homage to veterans of the United States Armed Forces. A generous portion of the song’s proceeds are being donated to charities benefiting US veterans. A sonorous, gorgeously written and flawlessly performed track in the tradition of American country music, “The Gift of Freedom” is a worthy salute to the men and women who have served to uphold the values and ideals of the USA for more than 200 years.

Earnestly sung and elegantly plucked out on acoustic guitar by Corey Farlow, “The Gift of Freedom” was written by Fred W. Byrd, Jr. for the express purpose of paying respect to those who have served to protect the people of the United States and her principles.

“I want the listeners to understand that the sacrifice of our men and women is given freely for the love of our country,” Byrd writes of their new song. “No matter the cost, the freedom they supply should never be forgotten.”

While Farlow’s polished, natural singing voice rings clarion and pure throughout the track, charging its lines with emotion and profound regard, it is the meaning in Byrd’s lyrics which makes up the lion’s share of the song. Byrd, himself, speaks candidly about his intentions for “The Gift of Freedom.”

“I am a simple man,” he writes, “who believes in God, Country and Family. I know this might sound lame, but what else does a man need? As the writer of ‘The Gift Of Freedom,’ I served in the US Navy, and though my own injuries were [incurred] during peacetime, my dad served in World War II and in Korea. My nephew served in Iraq. I’ve seen what war can do and this was the one way I thought I could give back.”

He goes on to relate in detail how proceeds from “The Gift of Freedom” will benefit veterans.

“Half of everything I make will go to an organization to help the veterans,” he states. “I have also talked with the publisher to donate 15% of his take to the same organizations and he has agreed. This means that a total of 40% will go to help. I know that this might not sound like much, but with every dollar spent, everybody is helping the loved ones who have done so much for us.”

Clearly, Byrd’s feelings about the men and women of the US Armed Forces goes to the bone.

“There are billions of people living in this great country and sometimes people forget that from the first shot at Bunker Hill, men and woman have fought and died so you can enjoy the freedom you have today. Help me help the veterans, simply by buying a copy of my song, ‘The Gift of Freedom.’”

Corey Farlow is a well-known gospel singer from Kentucky who has made the crossover into the country-music genre. His debut “Country Never Stops” LP has been winning him fans from coast to coast since it appeared on iTunes’ digital shelf in May 2015, and his official video for the album’s title track has garnered approximately 65,000 views in less than 40 days.
“The Gift of Freedom” by Corey Farlow and Fred W. Byrd, Jr. becomes available 24 June 2015. Get in early, country-music fans. Very early.
