Danish EDM composer Opinash releases new single ‘Simplicity’

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, 2018-Apr-05 — /EPR Network/ —

The producer and composer of electronica and EDM known internationally as Opinash has released his latest official single, “Simplicity.” The track has been proudly published on the Opinash independent record label without the involvement of the corporate music industry. Patterned, unfolding, multifaceted and bearing elements of EDM, trace, psytrance, and early Euro-house music, “Simplicity” carries Opinash into the 21st century as a name to watch in 2018 and beyond.

Ballerup, Denmark’s Opinash cites as main artistic influences some of the most seminal names in electronic music history. These include Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, Jean Michel Jarre, the Prodigy, Carl Cox, and Infected Mushroom. With the contemporary trappings Opinash has added to his latest “Simplicity” single, electronica and EDM fans may most likely hear a similarity to Infected Mushroom out of these.

Nevertheless, a clear line may be drawn between Opinash’s work and that of the former names, as well. Fans of the classic ’90s sound will find much to appreciate in “Simplicity,” which is aptly named. The track is largely fugue-like, taking a basic theme and spiraling it upward and outward into new and intriguing manifestations.

Asked to describe his aims for this new offering, Opinash briefly comments, “’Simplicity’ goes back to my roots, blending together sounds from several different genres.”

A veteran of the digital audio workstation, Opinash has been making electronic music from his home since the 1980s, when he cut his teeth on visual composing software such as the legendary Fasttracker. Since that time, he has spent his creative years developing his repertoire of electronica, dance, trance, lounge and chill-out music. The most recent of these releases going back to 2012 may be sampled at his official website (link provided below).

“Simplicity” from Opinash is available from over 600 quality digital music stores online worldwide now. Get in early, fans of electronica and EDM everywhere.

Indie pop singer Ron releases new official single ‘Way Tonight’

The indie pop singer from Milwaukee known as Ron has released his new official single, “Way Tonight.” The track comes on the heels of his twin 2017 releases, “She Said” and “The Search.” Like the rest of his growing repertoire, “Way Tonight” has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry. Smooth, stylish, classy and bringing a unique flavor to an often commonplace genre, “Way Tonight” showcases Ron as a singer-songwriter with much to offer in 2018 and beyond.

Sales made from the single, “Way Tonight,” will be donated to RAINN, the nation’s largest organization against sexual violence.

At just about 20 years old, Wisconsin’s Ron may seem young to have been the mind and voice behind “Way Tonight,” but precociousness makes up the whole of his musical career to date. He crafted his first beat on his step-father’s laptop in second grade. He learned viola in third. His current official bio states that over the last 11 years, Ron has worked to master no fewer than seven instruments, including viola, violin, trumpet, drums, piano, guitar, and cornet.

Ron cites as main artistic influences the Temptations, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Ed Sheeran, Bane’s World, and Boy Pablo. His own style on “Way Tonight” blends the soothing croon of Stevie Wonder with a mellowed, cadenced form of singing which trades ostentation for a slow burn which will appeal to fans of neo-soul, Motown, and indie pop alike.

Ron’s first official EP album appeared in 2013, spearheaded by the popular single and homage to his mother, “Thank You Mom.” 2018 has seen the drop of his latest album, another extended-play release, titled, “Teenage Daze,” which debuted on Spotify in February (link provided below).

“Way Tonight” by Ron is available from over 600 quality digital music stores online worldwide now.

Singer-songwriter Paula Punch releases new single ‘My Other Shoe’

The international singer-songwriter known as Paula Punch has released her latest official single, “My Other Shoe.” The track comes on the heels of her popular November release, “Don’t Look Down.” It is expected to herald the upcoming release of her debut LP record, the title of which has not been announced. Fun, genuine, and assertive in the way her fans have come to expect, “My Other Shoe” is the latest reason for fans of the singer-songwriter genre to sit up and take note of this rock-n-roll chanteuse from Australia.

Paula Punch has cited as main influences for her new song Ron Sexsmith, LP, Joni Mitchell, Lucinda Williams, the Pretenders, Annie Lennox, the Seekers, Fleetwood Mac, and Elton John. Her usual style takes a rock form not unlike those of Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge and Sarah McLachlan, et al. Fans can expect the same soulful and inspiring voice they’ve come to love in “My Other Shoe,” this time largely in the McLachlan and Tori Amos vein accompanied by piano and a haunting electric guitar.

Speaking of the themes of “My Other Shoe,” Punch writes, “’My Other Shoe’ is about passion and living in the moment, being open to where passion leads and listening to our heart instead of the voices in our mind, facing fears head-on and not being confined by walls around us. It’s about feeling the strength of our spirit.”

Paula Punch began in music young, performing at Sydney Town Hall at an early age, performing in the Philharmonic Motet Choir at various Sydney Opera House concerts in her late teens, and playing in bands in her early 20s. In college she began singing for a variety of advertising campaigns, which led to her meeting legendary studio maverick and future husband, Philip Punch (Electric Ave. Studios) who recorded and produced her first demos.

After starting a family and working as a fashion buyer for a time, Punch has said, “I needed to find my own voice.” She has facilitated this through her Punch Park website, which has been described as “dedicated to expressing her creativity through fashion, music and art,” where Punch shares her stories by recording and performing original music.

Punch herself has described her music as “personal, yet it talks to women about modern life, living in the city and the joy and struggle that comes from the constant juggling.”

Paula Punch was awarded Fifth Place nationally in the ASA Songwriting Competiton for her “Take Me Back” single, which is expected to appear on her forthcoming debut LP album. Her recent material has been produced by Rob Gist, guitarist on “Girl Overboard.”

“My Other Shoe” by Paula Punch is available from over 600 quality digital music sellers online worldwide now. Get in early, fans of singer-songwriter music. Very early.

Rapper D. Wright releases new LP album ‘Verbally Abusive’

The rapper and producer of hip hop known as D. Wright has released his latest LP album, “Verbally Abusive.” The record contains 22 original D. Wright tracks for an approximate total listening time of over an hour. Like the rest of the official D. Wright repertoire, “Verbally Abusive” has been proudly published as an independent release without the involvement of the corporate music industry. Bringing the best of the old-school sound, blended with futuristic flare and production value in equal parts, “Verbally Abusive” proves that D. Wright is a hip hop artist for the 21st century.

In addition to the considerable talents of D. Wright himself, “Verbally Abusive” also features the emcee skills of Smoke, Tee, Frost, Slick, and Samantha Espo.

Tampa, Florida’s D. Wright cites as main artistic influences Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, Kanye West, Jay Z, T.I., Lil Wayne, Usher, Michael Jackson, and Luther Vandross. Of these, his own style has most in common with the Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, and Jay Z. Nevertheless, much like these legendary artists, his style has less to do with emulation and more to do with putting carefully constructed urban poetry to pared-down back beats which never steal the limelight from the mic.

“I was heavily influenced by r&b, gospel and hip-hop,” Wright says, “but Tampa is so diverse that I hung out with people who listened to all types of music. My family was very music-oriented. I have an aunt who recorded gospel music, a few rappers, as well as a saxophonist and pianist. Rap was love at first sound for me, but it was always just a hobby.”

Rap was a hobby, that is, until such a time as D. Wright got some traction while working with the same Frost who appears on Track 7 of “Verbally Abusive.” They released “Holy Mother Mary,” currently available on Spotify. A few months later, Wright dropped his debut mixtape, “1318 Nassau Street.” Since that time he has shot official music videos and gone on the road with his act.

“It’s a nonstop hustle,” he writes, and mentions how much his grandmother informs his musical aims. “[She] was a huge inspiration because I saw how many people depended on her. She did so many things for people and made sacrifices that never showed a reward. She would say, ‘who cares if you doing good when I’m watching – it’s about what you do when no one is looking.’ In today’s world I look up to people who are happy in life, people who accomplish their goals and improve their lives and others’ for the better.”

And what’s his advice to the next generation of music artists?

“Don’t be something you’re not just to be liked,” he says. “Be true to yourself and be true to your craft.”

“Verbally Abusive” by D. Wright is available online worldwide from over 600 quality digital music stores now. Get in early.
